Lactation Services
For the past several years, our office has partnered with the Community Child Health Foundation (CCHF), and organization that helps to provide medical services to the under served. Thanks to CCHF, we are able to offer lactation support from Certified Lactation Educators, Betsy Bridges LPN, CLE and Sharon Palmer, RMA, CLE. Betsy and Sharon are available to help you with your baby's breastfeeding needs twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
During the pilot phase of the program, we were able to offer these services for donations only. Now that the program is well established, we are required to charge for these services. We do realize that lactation support services are not normally a covered benefit of most insurance companies. If this poses a financial hardship for your family, please let us know. While lactation consultation fees are generally around seventy-five dollars per hour, we are able to provide this service for only forty dollars per visit (about the cost of three cans of formula!). This money goes directly toward the further development of our lactation program.
Our number one priority is providing lactation support! We are looking forward to getting to know you and your baby, and to helping you get off to a great start with breastfeeding!
